Coming Home is the story of three generations of veterans from three wars and their stories of coming home.

For fifteen years, an art school in northeast Portland has been fostering the creative growth of its  students. The 25-30 students at Art from the Heart take classes in painting, sculpture, weaving, music, and theater, and have studio time to work on their individual projects. At Art from the Heart, all of the students are developmentally disabled adults.  The schools goal  is to both teach art and  to demonstrate the creative contributions of people with disabilities.

Recovering from a life of addiction and crime teaches a lot of lessons worth sharing.

Bear, Heidi, John and Shawn are all in recovery and leaders of  Iron Tribe...an addiction recovery group  which uses Native American traditions as part of their way. The group was started in prison  by Bear and Shawn and now has 50-60 active members in Portland,Oregon.
